Common types of Sport Injuries

Sports injuries are injuries that occur during active exercise or while performing a sport. Sports injuries may be caused by a sudden trauma or a repetitive movement that slowly results in pain and discomfort. Sports injuries can occur across many areas of the body, and may be specific to your sport.

Sprains – sprains happen when a ligament (connects bone to bone) is stretched or torn.

Strains – strains or a “pulled muscle” happen when a tendon (connects muscle to bone) is stretched or torn.
